Wpływ diety wegańskiej na mikrobiotę jelitową

Streszczenie

Mikrobiota jelitowa jest coraz częściej brana pod uwagę jako jeden z istotniejszych czynników wpływających na zdrowie organizmu. Składa się ona z ponad 1000 gatunków bakterii, których całkowita waga stanowi około 2 kg masy ciała człowieka. Mikrobiotę najliczniej zasiedlają bakterie z rodzaju Bacteroidetes i Firmicutes.  Obecnie analizuje się czynniki, które determinują stan flory bakteryjnej jelit, w tym rodzaj stosowanej diety. Wydaje się, że różne warianty żywieniowe, obejmujące swoiste reżimy dietetyczne mogą wpływać zarówno na ilość, jak i rodzaj bytujących bakterii jelitowych. Jednym z analizowanych wzorców żywieniowych jest dieta wegańska, opierająca się na spożywaniu produktów wyłącznie pochodzenia roślinnego. Wskazuje się, że dieta bezmięsna ma pozytywny wpływ na skład mikrobioty jelitowej. Osoby pozostające na diecie wegańskiej mają inny profil mikroflory bakteryjnej aniżeli osoby spożywające produkty pochodzenia zwierzęcego. Dzięki diecie wegańskiej zwiększa się ilość pożytecznych bakterii zasiedlających jelita, między innymi Prevotella, natomiast redukcji ulega liczba mikroorganizmów działających niekorzystnie na organizm człowieka. Co więcej, w grupie tej obserwuje się mniejszą liczbę markerów stanu zapalnego oraz patobiontów. Warto nadmienić, że w wielu analizach potwierdzona została skuteczność stosowania diety wegańskiej we wspomaganiu terapii niektórych jednostek chorobowych, w tym otyłości, cukrzycy typu 2 czy nadciśnienie tętniczego, a zatem składowych zespołu metabolicznego.

W niniejszej pracy przedstawiono aktualną wiedzę na temat wpływu diety wegańskiej na stan mikrobioty jelitowej.
