Abstract

The 10th Anniversary Conference of “Palliative Medicine in Practice” journal organized by Via Medica publishing was held between 13–14 October, 2017 in Gdańsk. The Conference had jubilee nature and it was combined with the 10th Anniversary of “Palliative Medicine in Practice”, which has been published since 2007. During the opening ceremony prof. Wojciech Leppert expressed his gratitude to prof. Małgorzata Krajnik from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, for creation and development of the journal as well as long-lasting work as the Editor-in-Chief. Professor greeted special guests: Wiesława Pokropska, MD, National Consultant in the field of Palliative Medicine, prof. Sam Ahmedzai from the University of Sheffield and prof. David Olivier from the University of Kent, who is Vice Editor-in-Chief of “Palliative Medicine in Practice”.
