Pharmacotherapy irregularities in palliative medicine — practical aspects
open access
Abstract
Pharmacological treatment in palliative medicine is based in most cases on the use of polypharmacy. This results in a practical risk arising both from adverse interactions between concomitantly administered drugs as well as with the potential risk of adverse effects of aggregation profiles, concomitant medications. Based on the analysis of pharmacotherapy used in the palliative care patients who experienced complications, we presented the most common errors and irregularities while indicating their clinical implications.
