Streszczenie
Anomalies of venous system are rare phenomena. But, taking into account the increasing number of implantable cardiac devices and other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures it carries clinical implications. We present a case of 62-years-old male with persistent left superior vena cava suffering from chronic heart failure (non-ischaemic cardiomyopathy) in which cardioverter-defibryllator for secondary prevention of sudden cardiac death was implanted. The discussed case review brings us practical tips how to perform an implantation of cardiac stimulator in conditions of venous system anomaly.
