Abstract

The purpose of antihypertensive drugs oral administration is achievement their maximum concentration in the blood. The good bioavailability is important to obtain the therapeutic effectsuitable for the dose. The drug interaction with food is one of the factors which impede the realization of this objective. Interactions between food and drugs may have a significant impact on the success of drug therapy and the side effects of many drugs. The problem of fooddrug interactions is discussed for several years, but it wasn’t sufficiently exposed and known to both physicians and pharmacists, because it still lacks broad research in this field.
