Abstract
The article addresses doubts regarding safety of the use of doxazosin - a1-adrenergic receptor antagonist - in the therapy of hypertension. According to the recent statement from FDA, doxazosin still remains a valuable choice for hypertensives with benign prostate hypertrophy as well as metabolic disturbances.
