Abstract

In hypertension we can observe adaptation of the arteries to high blood pressure.Remodelling of resistance arteries and changes in large elastic arteries were shown. The importance of microvascular architecture in controlling resistance has led to a recent focus in research on the role of microvascular vessels in cardiovascular pathology. In this article we present current information about structure, function and changes of microcirculation in hypertension. We also analize influence of hipotensive therapy to state of microcirculation.
