Percutaneous transluminal renal angioplasty as a continuation of revascularisation treatment of atherosclerotic lesions - case report
Nadciśnienie tętnicze 2005;9(5):340-343.
Abstract
A case of 72-year old man with coronary heart disease and
hypertension resistant to pharmacological treatment is presented.
During invasive diagnostic procedures the significant
disseminated atherosclerotic lesions of coronary arteries
and bilateral renal arteries stenosis were evaluated. Successful
treatment based on coronary artery bypass surgery
and then percutaneous transluminal renal angioplasty was
performed. After several months of follow-up a good response
to pharmacological treatment with better control of
blood pressure was revealed.
