Neurogenic aspects of hypertension

Abstract
In the article the experimental and cilinal data regarding
neurogenic aspects of essential hypertension are discussed.
Recent studies concerning neurotrasmitters and their regulation
as well as the blood pressure rise following laboratory
or job-related stressors are presented. The role of the
central nervous system and the stress reaction in the
pathogenesis of the essential hypertension is discussed.
