Abstract

Fixed-dose antihypertensive combinations provide a higher rate of blood pressure goal achievement due to additional synergism and better patients’ compliance. Data from recent clinical trials (ADVANCE, ACCOMPLISH), show prevention of clinical complications of hypertension with therapy based on fixed-dose combinations.
