Erectile dysfunction therapy with intracavernosal injections

Abstract

The aim of this article is to review the medicaments and methods that are in use in the erectile dysfunction therapy with intracavernosal injections. The author presents the guidelines on the qualifying criteria to the therapy with intracavernosal injections, contraindications and its side effects. The author also presents proper patient management in course of therapy. The article presents drugs currently available at the Polish market and concisely describes the application of the intracavernosal injections in erectile dysfunction diagnosis and its use in the combined therapy with sildenafil.
