Testosterone supplementation and female sexuality

Abstract

Sexual dysfunction are common in women. The most frequent of them is loss of libido. Androgens play the key role in sexual function, especially in desire and arousal. Authors review the available bibliography devoted to influence of the testosterone supplementation on women’s sexuality. It seems that additional testosterone supplementation may be considered as an promising option, especially in women after surgical castration.
