Sexual vocabulary of the Polish young generation in the first decade of the 21th century

Abstract


Introduction. Nowadays in Poland is observed brisk development language of young people. It contains definitions connected with human sexuality.
Material and methods. The trial was undertaken to investigate present sexual vocabulary of Polish young generation. It was based on the observations made by authors during their work with young people as well as material collected from the questionnaires filed by the young. Four hundred copies were distributed. In return were received 327 complete questionnaires which make up 81,75%.
Results. Only 7,95% of the participants were conscious of the poverty of Polish sexual vocabulary. Only 4,28% of the participants manifested the need the change the situation. Most of the young - 89,6% seemed to be satisfied with the existing state. Most of the participants answered the questions - 84,1% recognized it as unimportant problem.
Conclusions. Sexual vocabulary of the polish young generation in the first decade of the 21th century is primitive, poor, based mainly on vulgarisms and created for individual use neologisms and infantilisms.
