Sexual problems of schizophrenia

Abstract

Sexual activity of patients suffering from schizophrenia has psychological, cultural and biological aspects. Significant are influences of hormonal aspects of schizophrenia and medicine. Sexual dysfunctions in schizophrenia seem to be very common. It is important to begin the treatment of such dysfunctions. There is a shortage of uniform procedures. Treatment is based on a careful interview and diagnostics, adding appropriate pharmacological therapy.
