Sexological diagnostic tools in Poland and worldwide

Abstract

This is an review article about most common tools used in sexological diagnosis. In order to expand illustration of subject an empirical studies including mentioned questionnaire and scales were presented. First will be discussed most common tools used in original studies around the world i.e. Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) questionnaire for woman and International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) questionnaire for men. Second will be presented Mell-Karat scale — most common scale in Polish sexological studies and developed in Poland Sexological Questionnaire (Kwestionariusz Seksuologiczny). Additionally there will be presented less common tools of self-description (Female Sexual Distress Scale FSDS, Arizona Sexual Experiences Scale ASEX and Sexual Dysfunction Questionnaire SDQ).
