Sexual abuse - development conditions

Abstract

Having analyzed the literature, the author claims that there exists unequivocal group of agents which are the base to form good or bad prediction of influence of sexual abuse on victim’s life. The studies results and interpretation reveal, that the experience of abusing for one group of victims are the difficult experience, which they can handle with. For others, because of different personal and situational conditions, it damages their development. The author established certain tendencies in chosen variables activities which can be responsible for making the victim situation worse and for the transformation of negative events into traumatic situation.
Such abuse attributes as aggression, polymorphism, activity, which in higher grade affects intimacy and victim’s barriers (penetration) and also long term of abuse. The negative predictor is sex (male), age (between 26 and 50) and close relationship to the victim.
The traumatic risk increases also disturbing family influence on sexual development and deny protection in incest situations. Buffering character has good physical health before abuse and adequate support by important people and institution.
