Honorary Members of the Polish Society of Nephrology Part V. Professor Alfred Siciński

Abstract

This paper opens the second year of publication series on Honorary Members of the Polish Society of Nephrology. The beginning of the series in 2013 coincided with the 30th anniversary of the Polish Society of Nephrology. It is the authors’ intention to publish papers presenting outstanding Polish and foreign nephrologists who are Honorary Members of the Polish Society of Nephrology. The articles published quarterly have up to date portrayed three Polish researchers: professors Tadeusz Orłowski, Jan Nielubowicz and Zygmunt Hanicki, as well as profesor August Heidland of Germany. This paper sets out to depict the figure of Professor Alfred Siciński, the former Head of the 1st Department of Internal Medicine at the Medical University in Warsaw.
