Wpływ używania alkoholu na zdrowie. Dlaczego warto pytać pacjentów o jego używanie?
Streszczenie
Alkohol jest odpowiedzialny za liczne konsekwencje dla zdrowia niezależnie od czasu, jaki minął od ekspozycji. Wśród najważniejszych wymienia się choroby psychiczne, zarówno wtórne do używania alkoholu, jak i pogorszenie tych, które wystąpiły pierwotnie, między innymi na skutek pogorszenia się współpracy chorych w leczeniu. Modulujący wpływ alkoholu na procesy adaptacyjne mózgu już na poziomie komórkowym prowadzi do rozwinięcia się zaburzeń używania alkoholu. Jednym z najważniejszych substratów powodzenia w leczeniu chorych jest uzyskanie optymalnej współpracy w leczeniu. Wywiad w kierunku używania alkoholu bezwarunkowo stanowi istotny element badania psychiatrycznego.
