Abstract

The article describes the three cases of aripiprazole in patients diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. These descriptions in practice demonstrate the efficacy of aripiprazole in the treatment of positive symptoms, combined with the potential for significant reduction of negative symptoms and improvement of cognitive impairment. In addition, the favorable tolerability and safety profile of aripiprazole may also be an additional argument for the use of the drug also in patients who have not accepted the treatment for adverse reactions (e.g. excessive sedation) or are at risk for overweight or hyperprolactinemia.
