Abstract

Tianeptine is mostly used in depressive states as well as in depression with anxiety symptoms. It has a different mode of action in comparison to drugs from other groups (SSRI, SNRI) and different impact on neuroplasticity of CNS. Moreover, it’s considered as safe in pharmacotherapy which makes it widely used in different groups of patients. The author describes also practical use of tianeptine on the basis of clinical cases descriptions.
