Abstract


Introduction. The aim of the study was to examine if the hope, meaning of life as well as optimism mediate between spiritual experiences and some aspect of wellbeing.
Material and methods. The sample consisted of 40 co-dependent subjects participating in Al-Anon from Poznań. The following tools were used: Daily Spiritual Experiences Scale, Purpose in Life Test, Herth Hope Index, Satisfaction with Life Scale, Cantril Ladder, one-item scales regarding optimism, desire to life, passion of life, feeling of happiness in a few recent days, evaluation of life, mental health and distress.
Results. According to expectation meaning of life mediated between spiritual experiences and life contentment as well as feeling of happiness in a few recent days. Hope mediated between spiritual experiences and passion of life. Optimism mediated between spiritual experiences and satisfaction with life. Additionally hope and meaning of life mediated between spiritual experiences and distress.
