Abstract

The purpose of this study is a presentation of the significance of interdisciplinarity in the forensic opinion regarding juveniles (children and adolescents) and emphasizing the value of the cooperation of expert groups in the process of diagnosis and making educational, rehabilitation or therapeutic recommendations. The conduct of persons undertaking forensic expert activity is set forth by their professional background, on the one hand and by the rules of the law, on the other. The competences of an expert are determined not only by his education and basic knowledge of the law, but also by his clinic practice, openness to cooperation with other specialists in charge of a given problem, as well as experience in elaborating forensic opinions.
The study invokes basic regulations of the law regarding children and adolescences in the statue on the conduct of juvenile matters, with underlining the priority being the good of the juvenile understood as shaping of his proper personality, in accordance with the social norms.
