Sudden cardiac death in thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura

Abstract
Cardiac abnormalities may constitute an important and unrecognized cause of mortality and morbidity in patients with
thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP). We report a case of 29-year-old female with rapid acute TTP ending with
sudden death and not preceded by cardiac symptoms.
