Abstract

The review summerise the results of investigations unsellected aspects of serological studies of viral markers: evaluation of newly introduced tests, epidemiology of blood borne infections in various countries, the methods of assessing the risk of infection trough transfusion, external quality assessment schemes and results of haemovigilance procedures.
