Streszczenie

24-godzinne monitorowanie impedancji i pH w przełyku poszerzyło wiedzę o chorobie refluksowej, szczególnie o właściwościach fizycznych i chemicznych treści, która jest zarzucana do przełyku. Wiedza ta jest bezcenna w diagnostyce i skutecznym leczeniu opornej na leczenie inhibitorami pompy protonowej chorobie refluksowej, w postępowaniu u chorych objawami pozaprzełykowymi oraz u osób kwalifikowanych do zabiegów antyrefluksowych. Badanie to stało się podstawowym narzędziem diagnostycznym w specjalistycznym postępowaniu gastroenterologicznym.
