Abstract
The present paper reports a case of a 75-year-old woman, admitted to the hospital in May 2022, because of pneumonia. Performed echocardiography examination revealed in the left atrium additional echo structure, associated with interatrial septum. After healing pneumonia, the patient was referred to the Department of Cardiac Surgery for a myxoma suspicion. Postoperative histology confirmed it. The case indicates the importance of transthoracic echocardiography in detecting small heart tumours, what seemed to be domain transoesophageal echocardiography.
