“Folia Cardiologica”, a continuation of the “Folia Cardiologica Excerpta” is a scientific and educational journal targeted at a wide audience of both young and experienced cardiologists and internists, cardiology fellows, and medical students interested in cardiology. The Journal publishes original clinical and experimental papers, interesting reviews of an educational nature, and case reports. The “Young Cardiology” section presents interesting original papers, the first author of which is younger than 35 years of age, published along with a biographical note of the author.

Some papers are commented by prominent Polish clinicians who are experts in a given area.

"Folia Cardiologica" is the official journal of the following sections of the Polish Cardiac Society: Heart Disease in Women, Echocardiography, Noninvasive Electrocardiology and Telemedicine, Pediatric Cardiology, Experimental Cardiology, Cardiovascular Interventions, Heart Failure, Cardiac Rehabiliation and Physiology of Exercise, Cardiac Intensive Care and Resuscitation, Heart Rhythm, Valvular Heart Diseases, and Cardiovascular Drug Therapy. 

 The Journal in electronic version is accessible in full open access.

The Journal has been included in the register of journals and proceedings of international conferences published by The Ministry of Science and Higher Education on January 5, 2024 with 40 points awarded.
