Abstract

A wrong diet and nutritional status may affect a woman’s fertility.A properly balanced diet, i.e. replacing animal sources of proteinwith vegetable sources of protein, intake of fats that are the sourceof monounsaturated fatty acids, avoiding trans isomers of fatty acids,eating products of low glycemic index and proper intake of vitaminA, B complex vitamins, antioxidants, iron, folate, zinc, magnesium,and selenium, plays a great role in the prevention of subfertility andhelps maintain proper function of the female reproductive system.
