Therefore the metformin is used sometimes as additive therapy In patients with type 1 diabetes. Recently, glukagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) analogs, dipeptydyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors and sodium glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT-2) has been raported to be beneficial for the glycemic control in type 1 diabetic.
