Abstract

Obesity may be defined as the state where the accumulation of fat reaches the grade that threatens the health. Increasing number of evidence confirms a role of adipose tissue as a endocrine organ influencing the action of other hormones. Authors discuss most basic hormonal disturbances frequently accompanying obesity, adding and contributing to metabolic disturbances.
