Algorithms in the management of lipid disorders in diabetes

Abstract
In this paper we described the practical guidelines
of diagnosis and treatment of diabetic dyslipidemia.
The primary treatment goal is to decrease LDL-cholesterol
concentration, however, normalization of the
whole lipid profile is recommended. Life style modification,
strict glycemic control, as well as serum
lipids control and adjusting drugs dose to obtain goal
levels is important in achieving good therapeutic
effect.
