Gliclazide - a leader among sulphonylureas

Abstract
The results of some important clinical trials with the
once daily gliclazide modified release formulation
that have established its firm position in the modern
therapy of type 2 diabetes are shortly described.
In addition, the results of one small study examining
the efficacy and safety of gliclazide modified
release generic formulation that has been recently
indroduced are also presented.
