Abstract

Searching for reliable methods for evaluating early changes in the microcirculation and early markers of diabetic neuropathy has important clinical significance. The paper presents the pathogenesis of skin changes in diabetes as a result of microangiopathy and pathology in the peripheral nerves. We also describe currently available methods to evaluate skin dysfunction.
