Abstract

Hormonally active adrenal tumours are very well vascularized what can cause difficult to control intra-operating bleeding during adrenalectomy. Power Doppler examination of this tumors is reasonable. In patients with high blood flow tumors angiography followed by tumor supplying arteries embolization can be performed. The treatment decreases risk of operating bleeding. The article presents description of the patient with pheochromocytoma treated by embolization prior to surgical adrenalectomy.
