Abstract
The diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic values of surgery in the most frequent andrological disturbances
are presented. The technical aspects of testicular biopsy, methods of fixation and histological
assessment of testicular tissue are described, particularly for early detection of testicular carcinoma. We
presented also a review of the current possibilities of surgery in the treatment of male infertility, cryptorchidism,
torsion of the spermatic cord and varicocele.
