Dariusz Rychlewski, Romualda Wojczys
Chirurgia Polska 2007;9(3):180-185.

Abstract

Elective surgical repair of an inguinal hernia is one of the most common surgical procedures. Prolonged convalescence after herniorrhaphy is due mainly to chronic pain. In the paper the reasons for acute and chronic pain in patients operated on for inguinal hernia are presented. Some factors like anaesthetic techniques, patient’s age, operative technique are discussed.
