Abstract

A reconstructive operation of big abdominal hernia carries with it a danger of postoperative respiratory insufficiency occurrence. This is associated with disorders in functioning of the respiratory system, which can appear during the “hernial” period or during the operation itself and they may cause symptoms of hypertension in the abdominal cavity. Rehabilitation of the postoperative respiratory insufficiency in the risk group patients may decrease the frequency of occurrence of postoperative complications.
