Risk calculation of post-operative pain emergence in inguinal hernia repair conducted with the use of the Lichtenstein method
open access
Abstract
Material and methods: The risk of post-operative pain emergence was calculated according to the operation technique, at the same time paying attention to nerve identification, patient’s age and hernia type. The results were compared with literature relations.
Results: Based on a statistic analysis it was confirmed that the only reason for the emergence of postoperative pain is the placement of a tension mesh.
