Distally-based superficial sural island flap - case report

Abstract
Coverage of soft tissue defects of the lower third of the leg is a difficult problem to tackle for surgeons.
We described our early experience with the use of a distally-based superficial island flap for coverage of
a defect on the anterior aspect of the lower leg.
The result encourages the further application this method of treatment.
