Abstract

Injuries of the pancreas and duodenum are relatively uncommon by virtue of their retroperitoneal location. Lesions are, in the majority, due to blunt abdominal trauma. The cases of pancreatic and duodenal injuries presented in our study posed a difficult diagnostic problem and it was not until a laparotomy was performed that the final range of injuries was determined.
