chirurga naczyniowego, uwzględniające wymienione
przedziały wymiaru aorty, są podejmowane przez osobę
wykonującą badanie bezpośrednio po jego wykonaniu.
Wprowadzenie programu w województwie kujaw-
sko-pomorskim stanowi krok w dobrym kierunku w celu
zmniejszenia śmiertelności związanej z pękniętym tętnia-
kiem aorty brzusznej na terenie objętym tą profilaktyką.
Doświadczenia tego działania pozwolą na aktywny udział
polskiego ośrodka w dyskusji międzynarodowej na temat
ewentualnych modyfikacji i zwiększenia efektywności
w walce z tą niebezpieczną chorobą.
Finansowanie
Badania były finansowane ze środkówwojewództwa
kujawsko-pomorskiego, Urzędu Miasta Bydgoszcz, Eu-
ropejskiego Funduszu Społecznego i Budżetu Państwa
w ramach Zintegrowanego Programu Operacyjnego
Rozwoju Regionalnego, Działania 2.6 „Regionalne Stra-
tegie Innowacyjne i transfer wiedzy” projektu własne-
go województwa kujawsko-pomorskiego „Stypendia
dla doktorantów 2008/2009 — ZPORR” i projektu
stypendialnego „Krok w przyszłość — stypendia dla
doktorantów III edycja” realizowanego w ramach Pod-
działania 8.2.2 Regionalne strategie innowacji Programu
Operacyjnego Kapitał Ludzki 2007–2013.
physician immediately after performing ultrasonography.
Implementation of the screening program for AAA in the
Kuyavian-Pomeranian province seems to be an important
step toward reduction of mortality associatedwith ruptured
abdominal aortic aneurysm in our region. The experience
learnt from this activity will allow the Polish centre to share
its results worldwide and be more active in international
discussions onpossiblemodifications and increasedefficiency
in the fight against such a dangerous disease.
Source of Funding
Financial support was provided by the Kuyavian-Po-
meranian Voivodeship, the City Council of Bydgoszcz,
the European Social Fund, and the State Budget under
the Integrated Regional Operational Programme, Meas-
ure 2.6 “Regional Innovation Strategies and transfer
of knowledge” of the project’s own Kuyavian-Pomer-
anian Voivodeship “Scholarships for PhD students in
2008/2009 — Integrated Regional Operational Pro-
gramme”, and the scholarship project “Step into the
future — scholarships for PhD students, third edition”
implemented under Sub-measure 8.2.2 of the Regional
innovation strategies of Human Capital Operational
Programme 2007–2013.
