Abstract

Routine diagnostic methods in stroke are insufficient to exclude other potential causes of focal neurological deficits. It is important especially for patients eligible for trombolysis. This is a cause of intensive studies on new neuroimaging and other simple and quick diagnostic tests for stroke easy to perform in pre-hospital care. Some of them are directed for biochemical markers of stroke.
