Niewidzialne cierpienie - wpływ samobójstwa pacjenta na osoby leczące.

Streszczenie
W świetle ostatnich badań 22–39% psychologów i 51–82% psychiatrów doświadczy samobójstwa swojego pacjenta co
najmniej raz w ciągu trwania kariery zawodowej. Przy tak wysoko ocenianym ryzyku, niektórzy badacze zaczęli
określać je mianem ryzyka zawodowego, uznając je za niemal za nieuniknione. Mimo że tematyka samobójstw
jest szeroko badana na całym świecie, zaskakująco niewiele uwagi poświęca się doświadczeniom tych, którzy
zajmują się profesjonalną pomocą pacjentom z ryzykiem samobójczym ― psychoterapeutom i psychiatrom.
Artykuł opisuje proces żałoby u osób zajmujących się profesjonalną pomocą, sposoby radzenia sobie z tą
sytuacją oraz jej wpływ na funkcjonowanie zawodowe. Na koniec autorzy ujmują kilka rekomendacji
dotyczących sposobu działania po stracie pacjenta.
