A young man with pulmonary embolism as consecutive manifestation of venous thromboembolism
DOI: 10.5603/KP.2016.0080
Abstract
We present the case of 31-year-old man, with the intermediate-risk pulmonary embolism, as a consecutive episode of venous thromboembolism. After using unfractionated heparin and rivaroxaban in a follow-up therapy we achieved the improvement of the patient’s condition, recommending long-term anticoagulation. Due to abnormalities in the screening hypercoagulation workup, the patient was referred for consultation in outpatient clinic for coagulation disorders.
