Abstract

Two methods of systemic treatment of patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma are presented: nitrosourea- based adjuvant chemotherapy, and irradiation plus concomitant and adjuvant temozolomide. The second regimen permits to obtain the two-year overall survival of 26%, nevertheless, the challenge remains to improve clinical outcomes further.
