Advanced colorectal cancer - a case report

Abstract
Advanced colorectal cancer is becoming a common problem of many oncologists. The efficacy of many
cytotoxic agents and the possibility of using many schemas of treatment has a significant influence on the
quality of life of patients and markedly extends the time to progression and overall survival. The patient
currently presented with advanced sigmoid cancer of the survived 79 months, 65 of which she lead an
active working life, and 25 of which she did not receive any chemotherapy. The choice and sequence of
the therapy lines was based on the accepted guidelines and the joint cooperation of oncologists. The
patient received 5 lines of chemotherapy with good tolerance.
