Anaplastic large cell lymphoma — three different entities
Onkol. Prak. Klin 2011;7(3):146-151.
Abstract
Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) is rare entity derived from T-lymphocytes. In the classification
of World Health Organisation (WHO) ALCL is divided into cutaneous and two systemic types (ALK+
and ALK–), differring in terms of clinical features, genetic changes and partly histopathology and immunophenotype.
Proper diagnosis is crucial and determines treatment. I present a case of 61-year-old
woman with resistant to treatment systemic ALK-type of ALCL and briefly describe this disease entity.
