Ethical aspects in the management of malignant lymphoma
Onkol. Prak. Klin 2011;7(5):254-257.
Abstract
Malignant lymphoma have usually long course, their therapy is complicated and may cause many medical
and ethical problems for doctors as well as for patients’ family.
Medical literature seldom presents ethical issues that doctors can meet. In the article there are presented ethical issues in time of diagnosis and therapy listed according to main ethical rules: patients’ autonomy, benefits, harmlessness for patient and fair division of capability and resources. The fact that following the ethical rules by doctors can bring benefits for patients with lymphoma has been confirmed by the analysis and the own centre experience.
