Role of molecularly targeted therapy in the management of advanced non-small-cell lung cancer in the elderly
Abstract
The increasing number of non-small cell lung carcinoma type adenocarcinoma cases has been observed recently in elderly population. Molecularly targeted therapy remains alternative way of treatment for older patients because low profile of toxicity. Epidermal growth factor receptor gene expression can be detected both in primary tumor and metastatic sites.
