Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in 84 years old patient — case report
Onkol. Prak. Klin 2012;8(1):41-43.
Abstract
Lymphomas are very common in elderly. A half of newly diagnosed lymphoma patients are older than
60 years. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma represents more than 60% of all lymphomas seen in older patients. In
a group of the elderly patients more often then in the younger ones an untolerability of chemotherapy may
appear, mainly associated with concomitant diseases or/and myelotoxic effect of lymphoma therapy.
